How do I reset my password?

Password Reset via Phone:

For security and student privacy reasons we cannot reset a password over email unless you are using the email address you registered with. We also need your student ID number and date of birth to confirm your identity. To reset your password, call 724-925-5921. If calling, please have your Westmoreland student ID number ready. If you do not receive an answer please leave a voicemail with your name and phone number so you can receive a call back. 

Password Reset via Portal:

To reset your password on your own, you must first create security questions(These were set up when you first logged into your Westmoreland email.)

  1. Navigate to the password reset site
    1. https://my.westmoreland.edu
      1. Click the “Click Here” link where it says Change or Forgot your Password?
    2. https://passwordreset.westmoreland.edu/
      1. You can just go directly to this link          
  2. Press the reset password link.
  3. Enter in your username where it says “Domain User Name”
  4. Type the numbers that show in the picture

  1. Press continue.
  2. Answer your security questions.
  3. Type the numbers that show in the picture again.
  4. Create a new password
    1. Password but be at least 8 characters long
    2. It can not be a previously used password
  5. Type the numbers that show in the picture again.

How to Change Security Questions and Passwords:

You still may be able to log in with your old information. If you don’t know your security questions and you remember your password. Please try the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the reset page. (https://passwordreset.westmoreland.edu/showLogin.cc)
  2. Enter your last known login info and press “Login” (Do not press reset password unless you know the answers to your security questions.) On mobile the login button is in the bottom right corner.
    1. If you are unable to login, your credentials may have already expired and you will need to call us to unlock your account

  1. Select Change Password to change your password.
  2. Select Enrollment tab to change your security questions. Select and answer new questions.
