Can I check out items if I'm at another location?

Yes! You can check out Library items from any Westmoreland location!
1. Go to OneSearch and locate the book or DVD you need to check out. Make sure it is Checked In by looking at the location bar under the item:
If the item is Checked Out, there will be a return date listed beside the status. You may request the item, but you won't be notified that it's available until it is returned by the previous user. You can also request if the status is In Processing.
2. To request the item, click the Request Item link:
3. This will take you to the Information portal page where you will click the Request Item button:
4. You will be prompted to enter your Student ID. Your ID number is the seven-digit number located on your Student ID badge:
5. Once you enter your ID, you will see a Request Confirmation screen. This screen will tell you where you are in the hold queue. In the Comments box, enter your Westmoreland location (Latrobe, Murrysville, etc.):
Once you enter your location, click Request. Once we receive your request, we will send it to your location via the Courier system.
Additional Tips:
Keep in mind that it may take a few days for the item(s) to reach your location via Courier, so place requests within a reasonable time frame.
To return your item(s), simply place them back in the pouch in which you received it and return to the front desk at your Westmoreland Center.
